It seems like all over Australia this weekend the weather has gone crazy! It is either stinking hot or pouring with rain. It sounds like perfect scrapping weather to me! This weekend is Challenge Heavens February Cyber Crop. This months them is Make Ups and Break Ups and the girls have lots of challenges for you to think outside the square!

getting the gist of it.....

I was lucky enough last weekend to spend the weekend in Brisbane with some gorgeous girls. We went to the PaperArts Festival where my beautiful Friend Giovanna Scott was teaching a mixed media canvas class. I was looking forward to playing with paint, glue and paper. And I wasn't disappointed! She has an amazing way of teaching that makes you feel that you can achieve anything that you put your mind too. I got most of my canvas completed apart from putting the quote on which was quite amazing really as I had been confined to the couch because of a sore back just days before.... there wasn't a chance of me missing out on this one!


My daughter Amanda is going to one of her besties birthday parties on Friday night and she asked if she could give the canvas to her for her present.. hence the quote I have chosen to use.

So, because I have to give the first one away I thought I would have a little play with another one. It has taken me all week because of my back, but I love it! I am sure that this one will disappear into one of the girls rooms pretty quickly LOL

guest designer for..........

I was so excited when Monica asked me to be her first Guest Designer for Apple Tree Lane Designs. She sent me 3 gorgeous Embellie kits to use.  Monica is also in the process of setting up her online store which you can find  here

I decided to use some of the photos that I took on our holiday to use with the kits.

I have done three layouts with the kits but blogger is doing it usual stubborn self and is uploading the last layout sideways gggrrrr.....

a new month at challenge heaven

Good morning! 


I love the start of the month, because that means new challenges! I love blog hopping and seeing what new challenges are around to kick start the mojo. 
This month brings my first monthly challenge at Challenge Heaven. With Valentine's day this month, Bek has chosen the theme of 'Make Ups and Break Up's' 


I have chosen to use a photo of my two adorable teenage girls and scrap about their relationship. They are either best of friends or enemies. As I am sure is the case for most siblings LOL!

I have used the quote 'I am smiling because you're my sister, I'm laughing because there is nothing you can do about it'

You don't have to use this particular quote, but I would like to see something along the same lines. Easy hey?

Also its the last day of the CC at Challenge Heaven today. You have until 5pm to get your layouts in the gallery.

february photo a day challenge

I am a shocker at getting behind the camera often enough. I always seem to miss the everyday things that happen in our lives. I had downloaded the Project 365 day app on my iphone and ipad with every intention of doing it. It was no problem taking them when we were on holidays but as soon as we got home I had completely forgotten about it. That was until yesterday when I was blog hopping and came across Fat Mum Slim's blog and saw the prompts for the February Photo a Day Challenge

So today is the first (you didn't know that did you LOL!) so I have spent most of the morning in my scraproom.. so this is my view for today
