Busy, Busy, Busy!

Wow.. what a month ahhhhhhh!

I have had mum's 60th Birthday and also Craig's 40th.... Thank goodness that is over!
I had a friend that I used to work with make the cakes.. boy did she do a great job! This one is mum... yummy chocolate cake with white chocolate and choc dipped strawberries!
And she wanted to do something a bit cheeky for Craig's... so I emailed a photo of Craig's pride and joy (his monaro) and she wanted to put me leaning on the bonnet... she asked if I wanted to be in black leather or a bikini.... black leather works for me lol!

it was a great hit and he was thrilled to bits.... now I dont know what I am going to do with the car???

Because I have been so busy working and organising parties, I havent had a lot of time to scrap... but I made up for that yesterday... I completed 3 layouts and I have one more on my desk that I need to finish.. that is what I am planning on doing when the state of origin is on tonight, I will be able to watch it from my scraproom... GO THE BLUES!

Here they are:
This one is for Sara's colour challenge at Scrapbook Savvy, the colours where Black, Orange, Brown and Red

woops! it has been a long time hasnt it ???

I cant believe how long it has been since I blogged! I probably havent scrapped much in that whole time either :( I was in a bit of a rut and wasnt really doing much of anything (apparently lol!) But recently my sister and her partner offered me a job in their nursery and Landscape supplies.  It was just what I needed to give me a kick up the butt.. so to speak lol. Being outside and busy has been the best therapy... even know sometimes it can be a bit boring. It was a bit chilly going into work this morning... it was a bit frosty and below zero... but it didnt take long to warm up.. it turned into a beautiful day!

well, I had the most awesome, inspiring experience on the weekend... I went to Brisbane on Friday Afternoon with my friend Julie. We stayed at Chermside.. convieniently across the road from Wesfield hahahaha. We had the lovely dinner and few drinkies (and only just a few too!!!) across the road from the Motel at a Italian Restaurant. And then an early night in preperation for.....

meeting the beautiful and inspiring Heidi Swapp... the first class that we did was from the maker of glimmer mist... Wendy Senger from Tattered Angles. My goodness, that product is awesome! I had some of it, but now I know how to use it hahahahaha....I love it that you can use it on nearly every surface! After lunch we had a class with Heidi where we put into practices that Wendy had taught us..thankgoodness we learnt them first... we would have been completely lost lol
I also had the fantastic opportunity of meeting my lovely online friend Deb... we are friends on a couple of different forums and it is lovely to meet her IRL! I cant believe she is only in Brisbane and it has taken us that long to meet!

And I want to thank Deb's gorgeous sister Angela, for taking our photos and getting them to me soooo quick... lol..thanks hun, it was lovely meeting you on Saturday xx

After such an inspiring day, Julie and I called into the local services club and grabbed a bite to eat... i was so wound up, there was no way I could sleep.. so after a bottle of wine, I made myself go to bed lol.We spend a lovely couple of hours shopping over the road, after a yummy breakfast at the Coffee Club for Mothers Day...
We arrived home about 4:15 on Sunday Afternoon, just in time for me to get cross at Craig for not having his packing done for him to leave for Sydney at 5! I knew I could have to get home and do it all for him..anyway, off to Sydney he went for the week... I am getting pretty tired of him being away all the time.... but nothing I can do about it :(

wow... this post is HUGE... and I have more to share... maybe tomorrow.....
thanks for reading! mwah xxx

What a weekend!

Wow! The last week has been a whirl wind. Last Monday I decided to fly to Sydney on Thursday to drive up to Kate's retreat with my Cousin Sarah. Sar was the only one that knew that I was coming down... I was the mystery scrapper... We left on late that afternoon with San and Del.

We drove to Peta's house in Branxton to spend the night... it was great to meet Peta IRL! Thanks for the bed hun *mwah*

We stopped off in Dungog for Breakfast and had a suprise all of our own.. Loz drove over to meet us for breakfast... she is gorgeous!

We arrived at Kate's mothers before she did and we helped Peta set up her shop. As I was unpacking it was 'one for donna and the rest for the shelf' I just couldnt help myself lol.

When Kate arrived I hid in a different room.. when I walked into the room the poor thing burst into tears.... it was so lovely to meet her IRL! she is as lovely as I thought she would be

I had "talked" to a few of the girls in different forums and it was fantastic to meeting them all!

here is the group photo that Kate's mum ( who is an awesome cook! ) took of us

I managed to do 12 LO's plus a double page that I have to finish now that I am home.. i didnt take the right photos for the class lol

I arrived home at about 8.30 last night after loosing most of my scrap gear on the flight... I wasnt leaving Brisbane until I got it back in my possession... the damn airline couldnt make up their mind which flight they had put it all on.... I think I will send it all down by courier next time....

I havent had time to photograph all my LO's atm...but I will try and get to that shortly....

Thanks again for a fantastic retreat girls! I cant wait until I come down again in August for Sar and Sandra's retreat! (and again in Sept and in October for Peta's retreat lol)
